How to share your faith

The idea of sharing your faith can sound intimidating and maybe even a little awkward, but as Christ-followers it’s something we were made to do. It’s also something that contributes to our own personal growth! As you embrace your responsibility to share Christ, we want to connect you with resources that will help you feel equipped to do so.

The videos below will give you valuable information and ideas for how to share your faith. Take some time to watch them and look for opportunities to share with those around you every day—starting with the relationships you already have! Your neighbors, co-workers, peers, and friends are people God has given you to share your life with—including your faith—whenever you have the opportunity.

WHY

Before we talk about the “what” and “how” of sharing our faith with others, it is important to understand the “why.” In this video we explore the biblical basis and importance of why we share our faith. The “why” is the fuel that drives everything else we do.

WHAT - PART ONE

This video introduces the big picture story of the Bible. Beginning in Genesis 1, we survey all the way until Jesus. That may seem like a lot but it is as simple as remembering the 5 '“S’s”: Start, Sin, Separation, Sacrifice, and Salvation.

HOW - PART ONE

An important part of sharing your faith is knowing how to do it. So often we think of sharing as this big project we have to figure out. However, what we find in Scripture is something different. Our responsibility to share with others happens in our daily life, “as we go.”

HOW - PART TWO

One of the most important concepts to understand when sharing our faith is worldview. Worldview is the lens through which we see and understand the world around us. Everyone has a worldview and unlocking each layer gives us valuable insight that we can use to speak directly to the heart of a person.

NEXT STEPS

After we have shared and after someone has expressed interest in stepping over the line of faith, the question must be asked; What do we do next? This video helps answer that question and provides a clear description of the necessary next steps.
