· The projects listed here are sorted by type and organization

· There is a brief description of each project along with some details that will include date, time and number of volunteers.

Neighbors - Individual Projects (priority on single moms, low SES, elderly, etc.)

Liaison - Steve Erskine, serskine@brazospointe.com, 979-665-6586

Who do you know that has a need? Ask your group to brainstorm on people they know who could use a helping hand (or a bunch of them) for things they can't do alone.

Prefer to serve non-BPF attendees for this event.

NOT for your small group members (we should be doing that all year long)

Examples:

Yard work

Minor home repairs

Car care

General cleaning

BPF can provide budget if needed ($100 or less)

Helping your Neighbor in Need

Neighborhoods - Block Parties

Liaison - ??

This could be done as a group or as individuals. If you have several SG members in the host home neighborhood, get everyone together as a "get to know you" party. Or maybe host a Halloween block party for your neighbors. Having extra people in your small group but not from your neighborhood wouldn't be unusual. You can then hand out candy to kids as a group.

Examples:

Cook out with burgers, hot dogs or brats.

Ice cream social with neighbors.

Include Corn Hole or other outdoor games

Simple get-to-know-you event

·Halloween block party. Socialize and hand out candy as a group.

BPF can provide budget if needed ($100 or less)
