Senior Retreat: Life After High School
Join other BPF seniors for a night in Galveston on September 25th. We’ll hang out, eat, and talk about life after high school. Cost is $30 plus money for dinner on Saturday night. We will leave from the church parking lot on Saturday at 3pm and return Sunday morning by 9am. There will also be a separate lunch session for parents at the home of Greg and Kathy Pickering (118 Flag Drive West in Lake Jackson) on Saturday at 11:30am. Lunch cost is $5 per person.

To register for either event, stop by the Student Ministry table in the foyer or the church office. The last day to sign up is September 19th.

Student Small Groups are back!
Student Small Groups begin the week of Aug 22nd in homes across the area. Small Groups are a place for teenagers to live life together and explore what it means to be a Christ follower. The beginning of the semester is a great time of the year to join. We have a wide variety of ages and times, and locations available. Click here for more information.

Introducing Student Ministry Intern: Kevin Glenn
Kevin Glenn will be joining the BPF Student Ministry Team this fall as a volunteer intern. Kevin is a graduate of Texas A&M University and recently left his job as a full-time Student Minister in College Station to serve and develop his skills here at BPF. He will focus his energy on building relationships with students through Campus Ministries and Student Small Groups. Stop by the Student Ministry area in the foyer on Sunday and welcome Kevin to Brazos Pointe.

Zac Shawhan is a sophomore at Louisiana Tech University. He enjoys playing guitar, wearing skinny jeans, and growing facial hair. Zac will be staying at the home of Kirk and Dedee Willson and is looking forward to learning more about watermelon football and toilet ball with the BPF Student Ministry.

Kaitlin Staples is a junior at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a teenager at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge while Aaron Sanders was the College Minister and has known Amy Wheeler for most of her life. Despite all this, she has agreed to come to BPF anyway. Kaitlin will be staying at the home of Jeff and Kim Johnson and will be working with the Children’s Ministry as well as the Student Ministry.

AWAKEN: Developing Students of Influence
AWAKEN is an 8 week Next Step Class designed to develop students of influence. Meeting on Sunday nights in host homes, each semester of the class covers different aspects of leadership and is independent of other semesters.

All students wishing to participate in the spring semester of Awaken must have a membership covenant on file. The spring semester of AWAKEN has been completed. Check back for updates to the Fall schedule.
