5th and 6th Grades

Echo is specifically designed for our preteens.  We want to challenge them to live out their faith and fuel a PASSION for Christ in their hearts so that they will echo His love to the world around them.

By the time each preteen promotes into the student ministry, we want each student to take ownership of their faith through these three basic truths:

  • I will love God because He will never stop loving me.
  • I will follow Jesus because He knows me better than I know myself.
  • I will live out God’s story so others can know who Jesus is.

We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last and that happens in our Small Groups. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and the same leader, at the same hour - EVERY SUNDAY!

(5th & 6th graders do not meet during the 8:11 service.)

Here for the first time?

Enter through the Children’s Ministry door. Once inside, please fill out a registration card located at a table just inside the door. We will ask for the following information: Parent’s names, children’s names and birthdates, family address, phone number, email and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. Once you have completed all the information, hand it to one of our friendly volunteers at the manned check in stations. Your child will then be registered and you will be given a nametag to stick on your child that needs to be worn at all times.

Fifth and Sixth graders are released from the Children’s area after the service through the game area doors into the foyer. Please discuss a designated spot in the foyer where you will meet them after the service.

ORANGE PHILOSOPHY

ORANGE IS SIMPLE.

IT'S A STRATEGY.

HOME + CHURCH = ORANGE

We believe that what happens at HOME is just as important as what happens at CHURCH. We want to PARTNER with parents and equip them to live out their faith at home. When that happens, lives are changed because two combined influences are greater than two separate influences.

Parent Resources

Don't Miss It

BY REGGIE JOINER & KRISTEN IVY

You will have approximately 936 weeks from the time your child is born until he or she graduates from high school. It goes by fast.

The responsibility to shape a child's faith and character can seem overwhelming.

If you are a parent, you have probably realized by now that you … can't make a toddler share... can't force a child to have faith... can't compel a teenager to make smart decisions.

But there is something you can do. You can make this week count. And then do it again, and again.

What you understand about your kids now has the potential to change their future. So don't miss it.

If you don't miss what's happening during this phase, then maybe they won't miss some important things they need to know about life. That's why what you do this week matters.

It's just a phase. So don't miss it.

Right Click

By Kara Powell, Art Bamford, & Brad Griffin

The cry of every parent and church leader in this generation is "How do I help create media-safe homes?" Right Click is a wonderful resource that gives practical answers to the most-often asked questions about how to handle social media. This is my go-to book for parents.--Dr. Jim Burns, President, HomeWord, author of Confident Parenting

  • Feel like your kids are drowning in a sea of new questions, apps, and devices?
  • Want to talk about digital media more with our kids, but aren't sure how?
