Our Affiliations 

Brazos Pointe Fellowship is an independent church. We do, however, have several voluntary affiliations with other similar minded churches.

 

OUR PURPOSE DRIVEN AFFILIATION IS AN AFFILIATION OF STRUCTURE.
First and foremost, BPF is a Purpose Driven Church and identifies closest with
other PDCs, regardless of their denominational affiliation.


Though there are thousands of PDCs around the world, there is no formal organization, no membership expectations, no financial ties, or even a directory of churches. PDCs are churches that intentionally build their church around the five biblical purposes of discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, ministry and worship.  

 

OUR WCA AFFILIATION IS AN AFFILIATION OF VALUES.
Similarly, BPF is a part of the Willow Creek Association.


WCA churches are similar to purpose driven churches and exist primarily to reach the unchurched. The WCA has a formal organization, a membership covenant and thousands of participating churches world wide.

 

OUR BAPTIST AFFILIATION IS AN AFFILIATION OF MISSION
We are affiliated denominationally with Baptists. Being Baptist is not so much an identity as it is an
opportunity. It is an opportunity to partner with churches around the world that share our passion to
introduce Jesus Christ to every person on the planet. There are three levels of voluntary association
which we support financially. Locally, we are a part of the Gulf Coast Baptist Association. On a state
level, we are dually aligned with both the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Southern
Baptists of Texas Convention. On a national level we are affilitiated with the Southern Baptist
Convention. We join 40,000+ churches through the Cooperative Program to support over 10,000
missionaries around the world.
